Music Giving Hope in conjunction with The Jackson Family, Boys and Girls Club of America, Hard Rock International, Spectacle Entertainment and Wal-Mart gave away bicycles to deserving boys and girls of Gary, Indiana.

“Every child should have a bicycle and we’re honored to help make that happen,” said Keith Richards, Walmart market manager for Northwest Indiana. “It’s part of Walmart’s commitment to help and support the communities we serve.”

President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana Ryan Smiley stated, “On behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana and the thousands of youth we serve every day after school, we’d like to thank Spectacle Entertainment, as well as The Jacksons, Walmart and Hard Rock, for their generous support of the kids in Gary. This event is a small example of their commitment to quality, professionalism and local community engagement.”

Tito Jackson, co-founder of Music Giving Hope and member of the world-renowned Jackson family who began their career while residing in Gary, Ind., and are known as one of the most influential families in musical history had this to say,

“To see the smiles on their faces is amazing. It’s joyful to help them when they couldn’t find their bikes and see the excitement when we did find it,” said Tito Jackson.

“This is where we’re from. It’s a place we’ll never forget,” Jackie Jackson added. “We made it, so we are supposed to give back to our city and help rebuild our city. That’s what we’re doing right now. That’s what we plan to continue doing.”

Terry Harvey from Music Giving Hope added, “Giving back to the city of Gary and it’s youngest citizens warmed everyone’s heart and it’s what Music Giving Hope is all about...giving back!”
